I’ve been asked to contribute to 365 Fitness and I’m really excited about it - they have a lot of interesting information and links and I’ve had a lot of fun exploring the site! I’ve had a blog for a few months before - some of the content I went ahead and imported in and other things I’ll probably talk about again at some point. But I’d like to start off by reposting my original intro post - it’s a bit more formal since I was first feeling my way, but it’ll give people a chance to see where I’m coming from!
Hey all you fitness buffs out there. Or, fitness buff wannabes. I was there once, trust me. In fact, that is the reason I decided to start this blog.
For most of my life, I lost the battle of the bulge. I tried a lot of diets that worked for a little while, but the minute I stopped dieting, I stopped maintaining my new size. It was frustrating because I would lose weight and go shopping to show off my new figure only to gain the weight back and end up with a closet full of clothes I couldn’t fit. The horrors.
Finally, I decided enough was enough. I looked at myself in the mirror one day and made a commitment to live healthy. I was going to get in shape and stay that way! So, I went online and did some research on healthy living. Over and over again, I kept finding web sites and articles that talked about the benefits of personal trainers. In times past, personal trainers were for the rich and famous. Now, anyone with a health club membership can enjoy the benefits of a certified personal trainer.
My entire life began to change when I found the Pro-Fit Worldwide web site. If I really wanted to guarantee a total life commitment to health and fitness, I should consider a career as a certified personal trainer. It wasn’t like I was married to my job anyway. It was boring and void of anything remotely physical. So, I took the plunge and enrolled in the on-line certified personal trainer program.
The Pro-Fit program was one of the most interesting - and different - experiences of my life. Most of the program was completely online, which was great for me. Honestly, if I’d had to try to work around somebody else’s schedule, I don’t know if I could have done it. The program itself was informative - I learned about how the muscles work, what things to eat, how to exercise properly. But the real kick was Pro-Fit paying for a trip to Las Vegas for a fitness bootcamp with Pro-Fit Worldwide spokesman, Mike Matarazzo. I make no secrets about my strong belief in Pro-Fit Worldwide. And I don’t apologize for my relentless promotion of the school’s program. I enjoy a growing career as a certified fitness trainer because of my education there.
Honestly, if being a personal trainer sounds interesting to you, check out Pro-Fit Worldwide web site. If you like what you see, go ahead and enroll. It was quick, flexible and affordable. Now, I control my career and my earning potential, and I’m finally able to stay in shape!
Even if you decide against a career in personal training, I would love for you to be a regular on this personal training, health and fitness blog. I will share some information about diet and nutrition, exercises that reshape your troublespots and tons of motivation to get out there and get fit. If I can do it, you can do it!
See you back here soon.
